Breast Cancer Awareness Month

I know there is only a week left in October, but better late than never, right?

I wanted to share something for breast cancer awareness month so I’m breaking out an oldie but a goodie. In 2012 I took on a pro-bono project for a friend of mine who works for Susan G. Komen Hawaii. They needed a poster for their annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, that would be used to advertise and promote the upcoming race as well as their foundation. They had six ideas or themes they wanted incorporated into the finished product: education, treatment, surviving, screening, awareness and community.

It was a fun project to work on, as I had free reign to come up with the design other than incorporating those six ideas and their sponsors’ logos into the final piece. Plus it was for a great cause.

Happy October everyone!
